Battlefield 5 update this week includes fans hoping for a WW2 setting
Excitment for the first-person-shooter has been slowly building among fans, with an announcement expected in the coming months.
Publisher EA has already confirmed that they will launch the game between October 2016 and March 2017 - in the second half of the company's fisical year.
CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed that EA were looking to launch the next Battlefield title around the same time they did with earlier instalments - Battlefield 4 was launched on October 29, 2013.
The latest Battlefield 5 news that has gotten fans excited is a tweet posted by Joe Brammer, the executive producer of World War 2 shooter, Battalion 1944.
It wasn't so much what he said in the comment, which he eventually took down, but the fact that he had been shown in it by EA and DICE.
Fans are hoping that the game's development is moving along smoothly, if it's already been shown off, and that it could have a WW2 setting due to Brammer's expertise in that area.
Battlefield 4 was released in October 2013This, however, has not been reflected by Brammer in later message posted on social media.
In his original post, the producer wrote: “I've seen things #BF5 things and I am beyond excited.”
Following the excitement and questions created by this brief tweet, Brammer further commented: “Ha, clearly a mistake on my part! A massive oversight on the desperation for squeezing information!
Commenting on the apparent link between the game’s setting and him seeing Battlefield 5, he added: “Yeh there is like 0 logic in this analysis lol (SIC).”
